How To Make This Green Themed Dessert Charcuterie Board

Ingredients You’ll Need For This Recipe

  • ½ pound green grapes
  • 3 kiwis
  • 1 small green pear
  • 1 medium green apple
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Cookies with a green filling
  • Cookies with a green glaze or topping
  • Three types of green gummy candies (different shades if possible)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Wash the apple, pear, kiwis, and grapes and let them dry slightly. In a medium-sized bowl, mix 2 cups of water with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and set it aside.

2. Cut the apple and pear in half and remove the cores. Slice both halves into medium-thick slices and drop them into the lemon water. This keeps them fresh and prevents browning while you prepare the rest.

3. You can slice all the kiwis, or for a little visual interest, cut one kiwi in half and slice the others into rounds. Add all pieces to the lemon water. Let the fruit soak for just a few minutes.

4. Remove the fruit slices from the lemon water and gently pat them dry with paper towels. This step keeps your board from becoming watery and helps everything look crisp and fresh.

5. On a long serving board, arrange three clusters of grapes – one near the beginning, one somewhere in the middle, and one toward the opposite end. These clusters will anchor your board and guide the layout.

6. Starting from one corner, arrange some kiwi and pear slices around the first grape cluster. On the right-hand side of the tray, fill empty space with small piles of green gummies.

7. Place apple slices and the kiwi halves around the top grape pile, letting the shapes overlap slightly for a full look.

8. Place the two kinds of cookies in the largest open areas of the tray. Then tuck additional apple slices and more gummy candies into any remaining gaps to complete the board.

9. Cover the tray and keep it in a cool, dry place for up to 2 hours before serving.

Important Recipe Notes

  • For sandwich cookies, I used green-filled varieties and mint-topped cookies because I loved the contrast between them. You can use any green-themed cookies available to you – mint cream or fruit-filled options both work beautifully.
  • For candies, choose different shades and shapes of green gummies for visual interest. Mixing textures makes the board more exciting.
  • Soaking fruit slices in lemon water prevents browning. Always use a ratio of 1 tablespoon lemon juice per 1 cup of water.
  • Slice the kiwis last and avoid soaking them too long, as they can become soft.
  • I used a 13×8-inch cutting board, and I actually had some leftovers. If you want to use all your ingredients, simply use a larger tray and plan to serve more guests.
  • Placement doesn’t have to be exact. Start with your largest items first and fill around them. Adjust as you go until the board looks abundant and balanced.
