Every Easter table deserves something playful, and this Easter Bunny Fruit Tray always brings smiles the moment it appears.
I started making fruit platters like this when I wanted something festive that kids and adults would both enjoy – and honestly, it’s just as fun to build as it is to eat.

With bright berries, juicy melon, and colorful grapes, the bunny shape turns simple fruit into a cheerful centerpiece.
It’s one of those easy ideas that instantly makes the whole table feel a little more special.
How To Make This Easter Bunny Fruit Tray
Ingredients You’ll Need For This Recipe
- 2–3 bananas
- ¾ pound fresh strawberries
- ½ honeydew melon
- 8–10 mandarins
- 6–8 ounces canned pineapple chunks
- 4–5 green kiwis
- 1 pound green grapes
- 1 pound red grapes
- ½ pound blue grapes
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Wash all the fruits thoroughly and let them dry on a kitchen towel or paper towels. This helps keep the tray neat and prevents excess moisture from pooling on the board.
2. Peel the bananas, cut them in half lengthwise, and then slice them into thick pieces. These will be used to form the bunny’s ears and face.
3. Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them into quarters. Cut one strawberry in half and set it aside – this will become the bunny’s nose.
4. Slice the honeydew melon, remove the rind, and cube the flesh into bite-sized pieces. Set aside one thin slice of melon to use later for the bunny’s teeth and whiskers.
5. Peel the mandarins and separate them into segments.
6. Drain the canned pineapple chunks so they don’t release too much juice onto the tray.
7. Trim the ends of the kiwis, slice them into thick rounds, and cut them into small cubes.
8. Remove all grapes from their stems and keep them separated by color.
9. Start in the middle of your serving board by arranging banana slices to form the bunny’s face and long ears. Begin with a single layer of banana pieces to outline the shape.
10. Add strawberry pieces in the center of each ear. Place two small piles of blue grapes where the bunny’s eyes should be.
11. Fill the remaining area of the face with honeydew melon cubes and mandarin segments.
12. Add a second layer of banana slices to the outline to give the face more height and definition.
13. Place kiwi cubes along the bottom of the tray. Arrange green grapes along both sides of the bunny’s face in the center of the tray.
14. Place piles of red grapes beside the ears and between the green grape sections. Add blue grapes to the upper middle area of the tray.
15. Fill empty spaces near the top of the tray with strawberry pieces. Use pineapple chunks to fill gaps near the bottom.
16. Cut small shapes from the reserved melon slice to form the bunny’s teeth and whiskers. Place them under the bunny’s face and add the strawberry half as the nose.
17. Cover the tray with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Important Recipe Notes
- I used a cutting board measuring about 14 × 14 inches for this tray. Larger trays may require additional fruit to fill the space.
- The ingredient quantities are estimates. Depending on how full you build the tray and the size of your board, you may need slightly more or less fruit.
- Grapes are larger and create height quickly, while smaller fruits like strawberries, mandarins, and pineapple may need more pieces to reach the same level. Add fruit gradually so the tray stays even and balanced.
- When tightly covered and stored in the refrigerator or a cool place, the tray will stay fresh for about 3–4 hours before serving.
